Dear Friends,

If you didn’t get my previous email from yesterday, it’s because I had an obsolete email address. If that’s the case, a quick explanation: Betsy had a brain tumor that we just discovered Sunday and it was surgically removed this morning. This is the update.

The Surgery

The surgery went very well. 7+ hours long. She is now in the ICU. Just did all the neurological tests to see if her memory, motor function, language, etc is still working. She passed with flying colors. At the moment she feels very very very GOOD! She’ll stay in the ICU for at least a day then move back up to the neurological floor here at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. She’ll likely be here at least another 6 days.

The Pathology

I’m still waiting to talk with the Doc about what they found out. What I do know is that the tumor originated in the brain, not metastasized from somewhere else in her body as had been thought. I’m told it may be up to a whole week before we know what we need to know about the tumor. So, this journey is still full of mystery.

With such gratitude that moves me to tears, I thank you for your thoughts, prayers, candles, good energy, funny videos, and for holding Betsy (and me, too) in your hearts. And she was very aware of your support, too, which filled her heart with spacious love. Thank you from both of us.

I want you to know Betsy went through this with incredible strength, courage, presence, and appreciation for the deeper synchronicity in paralleling so exactly what she is doing in getting old limiting beliefs, strategies, and identities out of her head. I’m proud of her and inspired by her grounding, perspective, and prioritization of personal growth through all this. You would be, too. Please keep sending her your love and good vibes in any way you can.
